A 35-year-old Nigerian man, Abidemi Oluwaseun, has been arrested and put in police custody after he invaded Baptist Girls College Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, Ogun State, with two thugs to attack a teacher who he said punished his 15-year-old daughter.
The police revealed that Oluwaseun was arrested alongside the two thugs; 25-year-old Fayesele Olabanji, and 24-year-old Alebiosu Quawiyu.
Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Police Public Relations Officer of Abeokuta, stated that the police was alerted by the school’s principal on Tuesday that the the three men barged into the school with an unregistered car and a cutlass, and that they were threatening to hack to death a teacher who beat the daughter.
After the suspects were arrested, they revealed during investigation that they were there to beat up a teacher. Oluwaseun reportedly said that he brought the two thugs with him “to teach the teacher who beat his daughter a lesson of his life.”
The investigation revealed that the teacher punished Oluwaseun’s daughter because while teaching was going on, the girl and her friends were distracting students by mocking the teacher.
Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Police Public Relations Officer, added that the teacher punished not just the girl, but that the girl reported the teacher to his father who stormed the school with thugs to teach the teacher a lesson.
