A young Nigerian man has reportedly taken to social media to debunk the reports and videos of people who picked money during the burial of Obi Cubana’s mother.
The burial which happened in Oba, Anambra state, was the talk of the internet for days after it was over. During the period, we saw a grand extravagant display of money and wealth generally.
The burial of the mother whose name was Ezinne Iyiegbu dominated the internet and sparked reactions from activists, journalists, pastors and other internet users. There were debates between those who criticized the extravagant show of wealth and those who supported. There were those who wrote long thesis and those who told him he had exposed himself.
We watched the videos of girls picking money in a pool, money raining like showers of rain, people almost stampeding themselves in order to get a hold of few notes, videos of people who picked money and pictures of bundles of money.
However, a young man, Kalisto Kachi, has come out to claim that there was no such thing.
He said that he worked at the venue of the wedding and that he did not see any money. He shared photos of himself to prove his claim.
We do not if he was waiting for the money to drop on his thighs or if really there was no such display made.
“Forget all this cubana of a thing, I go represent Johnnie walker Whiskey I no see any shishi😡not even Kanayo’s money 😏
