A member of the Ugandan Olympic national team who was listed as missing in Japan has arrived in Tokyo, accompanied by police. Julius Ssekitoleko, a 20-year-old weightlifter, disappeared from a hotel in Osaka Prefecture, western Japan, on Friday.
The 20-year-old weightlifter left a note on his bed for the Ugandan delegates that he wanted to find a job in japan and did not want to return to his hometown.
He did not meet with the Olympic standard in the latest international ranking of 2020 and was bound to return home to Uganda.
It is no surprising news that Africans are always seeking for a way out of a predicament that cripples them.
However, police found him on Tuesday in Yokkaichi city, about 105 miles east of the host town in western Japan and he has since been sent back home alongside eight others.
