Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 50 points and grabbed 14 rebounds on his way to help Milwaukee beat the Suns 106-96 in Game 6 of the NBA Finals. The win clinched Milwaukee’s first NBA Championship since 1971.
The Bucks came back stronger from last year’s disappointment. Giannis was the MVP of the game and was duly rewarded as the star of the night.
He was quoted saying after the win “I hope I give people around the world, from Africa, from Europe, give them hope that it can be done. It can be done.”
The Nigerian-Greece born reflected on his journey to the top
Giannis is the first player in NBA history to win: MIP, MVP, DPOY.
Giannis was full of praise for his teammate Khris Middleton, noting “There is nobody in this world I’d rather do this journey with than that guy.”
