Popularly acclaimed leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has threatened to disgrace President Mohammadu Buhari if he embarks on his plans to visit Japan. Nnamdi Kanu who threatened that members of his group in Japan have received orders from him to ”disgrace and arrest” President Buhari if he arrives the Asian country on Sunday, August 25th.
In a statement released on Friday, August 23rd, by the IPOB leader, he stressed that President Buhari must be arrested and handed over to Japanese authorities to enable him to answer for his alleged mass murder and crimes against humanity, which he allegedly committed against IPOB members in Nigeria between 2015 and 2019.
He urged IPOB members in the country to mobilize themselves and ensure that they arrest President Buhari, stressing that the group is ready for the legal aftermath of the action.
The Presidency on Friday announced that President Buhari will leave Nigeria for Japan on Sunday, August 25th to participate in the Seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development, holding in the City of Yokohama from August 28th-30th.
Recall that last Saturday, members of the secessionist group attacked former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, at a New Yam Festival in Germany.
